Principal consultant
Andy Herbin founded Golden Thread Intelligence to help leaders who carry risk decisions, from investment committees to the C-suite, see geopolitical and AI threats before they become losses.
She served 10 years as a U.S. Army Military Intelligence Officer, including three years as Intelligence Chief for a 1,300-soldier battalion operating across 13 military communities in Europe. She also led intelligence production in support of U.S. Central Command.
She went on to earn an MBA from MIT Sloan as a Dean’s Fellow, concentrating in data and analytics, and spent four years at Google as a Senior Solutions Consultant. There she advised teams on AI adoption and organizational analytics, built measurement systems where none existed, and earned Outstanding Impact ratings in consecutive review cycles.
Most organizations already hold more information than they use. The advisors they hire have rarely had to act on incomplete information with real consequences attached. Golden Thread Intelligence exists to close that gap, using the same analytic discipline that intelligence work demands.
She holds a BA in International Relations from Wellesley College and is an IAPP Certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP). She is a member of InfraGard, ISACA, IAPP, and AFCEA.
The work is not to make the room feel informed. It is to make the next decision clearer.
